Sharknado 4 Poster Spoofs Star Wars, Is Every Bit As Crazy As You'd Imagine

Syfy has released the official poster for its upcoming made-for-TV movie Sharknado: The 4th Awakens. In keeping with the Star Wars theme, the poster is modeled after the one for The Force Awakens.

As you can see, there are two distinct red and blue sides to it, which was also the case for Disney’s poster. Unlike that one, however, this poster features sharks, cows, guns, and Tara Reid, elements that The Force Awakens‘ lacked.

The 4th Awakens is set five years after the events of 2015’s Oh Hell No! Sharks have not fallen from the skies in years, but now they’re back and ready to wreak more havoc.

Ian Ziering returns as main character Fin, while Reid is back as April Wexler. David Hasselhoff, Gary Busey, and Cheryl Tiegs also star in the TV film directed by Anthony C. Ferrante, who was also behind the camera for the previous films. The movie airs July 31 on Syfy.

Syfy has also announced a list of actors who will have cameos in The 4th Awakens, including people like Slipknot singer Corey Taylor and Benjy Bronk from The Howard Stern Show. You can see the full list of announced cameos below, while Syfy teased it will announce more later.

  • Benjy Bronk (The Howard Stern Show) as a morning show host
  • Duane Chapman (Dog the Bounty Hunter) as a chainsaw dealer
  • Stacey Dash (actress and pundit) as the Mayor of Chicago
  • Jay DeMarcus (Rascal Flatts) as manager of the Shark World hotel
  • David Faustino (Married with Children) as a Las Vegas gambler
  • Lori Greiner (Shark Tank) as a home shopping guru
  • Frank Mir (MMA fighter) as head of security for the Shark World hotel
  • Vince Neil (Motley Crue), Wayne Newton (aka Mr. Las Vegas) and Todd, Savannah, and Grayson Chrisley (Chrisley Knows Best) as themselves
  • Dr. Drew Pinsky (Loveline) as a pastor
  • Patti Stanger (Millionaire Matchmaker) as a reporter
