If you’re planning to play Call of Duty: Black Ops III multiplayer or Zombies this weekend, you may be happy to learn that you will be doubly rewarded.
Activision and Treyarch have announced that both multiplayer and Zombies will offer up double XP this weekend, starting today, May 13, and running though Monday.
That is a pretty liberal interpretation of the weekend, but it’s doubtful anyone will complain. Specifically, the double XP event starts today at 10 AM PST/ 1 PM EST and comes to an end the same time on May 16.
In other news about Black Ops III, the game’s PC–only multiplayer starter pack is free on Steam this weekend, while the full game is marked down to $36. The free play period ends on May 15, while the discount is good through May 16. Head to Black Ops III’s Steam page here to learn more.
The Black Ops III multiplayer starter pack, which launched in February, normally sells for $15. As its name suggests, this version of the game only comes with the game’s multiplayer mode, not Zombies or campaign.
Looking ahead, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare launches in November for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Activision is also working on a remastered version of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, which will be bundled with the premium versions of Infinite Warfare, but not sold on its own.
Additionally, Activision will release a Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Trilogy Collection next week on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, if a recent retail listing is accurate.
